TSL082 (Introductory Literature)

ASSIGNMENTS & ASESSMENTS

Literary Exhibition

Hands down, this was my favourite assignment ever. I was in a group with Erin, Kira and Alia. We chose the topic, Feminism.

Of course, this was a great opportunity to talk about one of my favourite poets, Sylvia Plath and as an avid lover of feminist discourse, I had so much fun carrying out this exhibition on Instagram.

Mid-Term Test

It might be weird to say but I actually had a lot of fun answering this test. The paper askes questions that were really challenging but inquisitive and interesting. They were questions that really made you think and questions of the different short stories that we studied.

Considering how much fun I had taking this paper, I will definitely keep Literature in mind when choosing what to take for Degree.

Animal Farm Presentation

This was our final assignment for Literature. We were given the topic, Themes. I had a lot of fun researching on Animal Farm, it's themes and how it relates to the Russian Revolution.

NOTES

I made these notes to make myself understand the short story, Looking For A Rain God better.

When studying, I like to refer to the notes given by Madam Ain as they already easy to use and concise.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I loved all the classes for Literature. For very class, we would have a discussion of the short stories. It was really interesting to hear what everyone thought. Then, Madam Ain would redirect us to the actual meaning of the story.

I have always admired authors, especially those of literary classics. Analyzing their stories and figuring out what they meant behind their words was a lot of fun. I also really like how the different stories would make us think and question our own values, allowing the whole class to re-check their biases on different issues.

I would have to give the highest credit to Madam Ain for always listening to our different opinions. Her explanations helped a lot in making me understand the different short stories. I also liked it when Madam Ain would ask us very interesting questions about the literary components. Thank you so much, Madam!
