ODL EXPERIENCE
I never thought that my university life would begin in front of a screen. To be honest, I was very disappointed at first because I thought that I was missing out on something. To some extent, I was but there were perks of staying home too.

Despite having to join classes online, I still wanted to see what Dengkil looked like. I instantly fell in love with its sunsets. I soon found out that there were a few people that I already knew who were going to be on the same campus like my cousin, Shaurah, Fairus, my classmate from secondary school, Daliza, my mother's student and Jo, a friend from a debate competition I went to ( don't you worry, I have more to talk about this one).
Overall, my ODL experience was still fun. A lot of credit should be given to my classmates for that. As soon as we were assigned classes, we were already having long chats in Whatsapp and Google Meet sessions together.
Speaking of Whatsapp, my friend, Fasya invited me to a group chat called TESL Lovelies. I also invited some of my friends to the group chat and little by little, the group chat now has 36 amazing girls taking TESL. A lot of them are my close friends now and I am so immensely grateful.

I truly believe that no matter how far apart we are, for education, friendship and love, it is possible to cultivate all of those things even through a screen.
